About Me: From Journalism to Scripture

Welcome to Red Letter Tees.
For almost 20 years, my career was dedicated to the art of feature journalism. I spent my time seeking out human interest stories, diving deep into what connects us, and writing about the threads of empathy, struggle and joy that make up the human experience. While it wasn't the chaotic rush of breaking news, it was a world of deadlines, observation and careful reflection on the culture around us.
Eventually, I felt a pulling to step away. I took a hiatus from feature writing to quiet the external stories and focus entirely on God.
During this season of rest, I found myself observing the landscape of American faith through a writer's lens. I couldn't ignore a troubling shift: it felt like so much of the modern faith community was drifting away from the actual teachings of Christ.
We live in an era where it is incredibly easy to get distracted by loud voices, cultural movements, and leaders who promise influence but compromise on character—the very kinds of distractions Jesus himself warned us to look out for.
I realized we didn't need more commentary or cultural division. We just needed to look to Jesus!
Filtering the Landscape Through the Words of Jesus
That realization led me straight to "the red letters," the literal words spoken by Jesus.
When you strip away the modern noise, the politics and the cultural distractions, Jesus' message becomes radically simple and unwavering: Love God, and love your neighbor. No matter what.
He preached unconditional love, deep peace and radical kindness.
I started Red Letter Tees to remind my fellow Christ followers of the actual words of our Lord and Savior. I wanted to put His exact words front and center, allowing people to read them, reflect on them and figure out for themselves what it truly means to live out His grace today.
Along the way, I have grown so much closer to the Lord, and I am so very thankful for that. I hope my products bless you the way they have blessed me.
